Trial set for Depp dog case

Actor Johnny Depp's wife, actress Amber Heard, will face trial on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, on April 18 for allegedly smuggling two dogs into the country, a court ruled yesterday. She is facing two counts of knowingly importing a prohibited product in breach of the Quarantine Act. A court official said the actress was required to appear at the hearing.


South Korean actress dies in accident

South Korean television star Kang Doo Ri, 22, died in a car accident on Monday. The police are still investigating how she died. She was just starting out, having appeared on the KBS drama Cheer Up!, which aired in South Korea from Oct 5 to Nov 6.


Belgian pop star weds

Stromae, the 30-year-old Belgian pop star whose songs have gained global appeal, secretly tied the knot with his stylist Coralie Barbier, 31, last Saturday. "It was a family affair with some friends there too," said Mr Stijn Beschuyt, manager of the wedding venue, a stylishly converted church in the town of Malines in Belgium.

In October, Stromae became just the third French-language artist to fill New York's legendary Madison Square Garden after Charles Aznavour and Celine Dion.


Take That gig in March
