Buzzing: Suicide Squad soundtrack tops Billboard chart

Suicide Squad soundtrack tops Billboard chart

The soundtrack for the comic book movie Suicide Squad topped the American Billboard album chart on Monday in the best showing for a film soundtrack since Pitch Perfect 2 last year.

The Suicide Squad soundtrack features songs from Twenty One Pilots, Skrillex, Panic! at the Disco and other artists, and has sold more than 182,000 units.

Nightly Show cancelled

Comedy Central has cancelled the late-night talk show The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore. The network's president Kent Alterman said the show "hasn't resonated".

Wilmore, who previously appeared as the "Senior Black Correspondent" on The Daily Show, often explores the intersection of race and politics. In a statement, he borrowed a phrase from his show, "The Unblackening", referring to the replacing of United States President Barack Obama. "I guess I hadn't counted on 'The Unblackening' happening to my time slot as well," he said.
