Suicide Squad soundtrack second week at No. 1
August has belonged to Suicide Squad. The new movie has been No. 1 at the box office for the past three weekends and its soundtrack is the best-selling album for a second week in a row.
The Suicide Squad album, which has new songs by Twenty One Pilots, Skrillex and Rick Ross, among others, and was released by Atlantic, sold 50,000 copies and songs from it were downloaded 206,000 times and streamed 33 million times in the United States, according to Nielsen.
Altogether, the soundtrack is credited for the week with 93,000 "album equivalent units".
