Solid ratings for Legend Of The Blue Sea K-drama

Legend Of The Blue Sea was the top-rated show on pay television in Singapore when it premiered last Thursday, said channel ONE. Ratings for the premiere of the drama, starring Gianna Jun and Lee Min Ho, were 42 per cent higher than for the premiere of ONE's previous hit, Scarlet Heart.

Descendants Of The Sun actor marries

Actor Jasper Cho Tae Kwan, who played philanthropic doctor Daniel Spencer in the hit K-drama Descendants Of The Sun, tied the knot last Saturday. Media outlets said the 30-year-old and his bride Noh Hye Ri, 24, had dated for about a year. The two met in Britain when he was there on a business trip. They are reportedly in Bali for their honeymoon.

Denise Ho in BBC list of influential women

Cantopop singer Denise Ho has been named on BBC's annual list of inspirational and influential women, released on Monday. Celebrating icons of defiance in its 100-strong list this year, the broadcaster calls Ho, 39, a "respected outspoken, pro-democracy campaigner, whose outspokenness has earned her the adoration of fans and has angered China's communist rulers". She was a vocal supporter of Hong Kong's 2014 pro-democracy Umbrella Movement.
