Pepsi pulls Kendall Jenner ad

Pepsi announced on Wednesday that it was yanking its latest advertisement featuring model Kendall Jenner and a protest storyline, after intense criticism from people who said it trivialised the Black Lives Matter movement. It also apologised for "putting Kendall Jenner in this position".


Former Running Man Kang Gary weds

South Korean rapper Kang Gary, 39, announced on social media on Wednesday that he has married an "ordinary woman" who is not in show business. He left popular variety show Running Man last year.


Christian Bale in talks to play Dick Cheney

The Dark Knight himself, Christian Bale, is in talks to play former United States vice-president Dick Cheney in a biopic that Paramount Pictures and Plan B Entertainment hope to begin shooting in September.

Bale, 43, is an Oscar winner, but is best known for playing Batman in the Dark Knight trilogy (2005-2012). Also in talks for the still-untitled film are Steve Carell and Amy Adams. Adam McKay (The Big Short, 2015) will direct.
