Ocean's 8 made a US$41.5-million (S$55.3 million) debut splash in North American theatres over the weekend.

Solo: A Star Wars Story secured second place with US$15.2 million in its third weekend. In third spot was Deadpool 2 with US$13.8 million in its fourth weekend.

Actor Vince Vaughn arrested

Actor Vince Vaughn was taken into custody on Sunday in Manhattan Beach, California for drink driving and resisting arrest. He later posted bail and was released.
