No ATV newscasts after staff quit

Crisis-hit Hong Kong broadcaster Asia Television (ATV) failed to air its Chinese and English newscasts last Saturday after staff quit en masse, reported South China Morning Post.

ATV's free-to-air licence requires it to air those newscasts. The employees had quit last Friday over unpaid wages. ATV's broadcasting licence is due to expire on April 1.

Monkees' new album

The Monkees, the original reality television stars whose band were conceived as a show, are returning with a new album and tour for their 50th anniversary. The album, titled Good Times!, will be out in June. It will be the first by The Monkees in 20 years.
