Lorde's second album 'out soon'

New Zealander Lorde celebrated her 20th birthday on Monday by announcing a new album that will explore becoming an adult.

The long-awaited follow-up to her 2013 debut album Pure Heroine will be out soon, she wrote on Facebook, without giving a date.

She said its lyrics are "the best I've written in my life". "The party is about to start. I am about to show you the new world."

Her song Royals, a mocking look at the pursuit of material wealth, won the Grammy for Song Of The Year in 2014.
