Fisher's annotated Empire Strikes Back script up for auction

Actress Carrie Fisher's hand-annotated script for Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) is expected to fetch up to US$50,000 (S$67,300) at an auction of her personal property that starts on Oct 7. California auctioneers Profiles In History said that the 158-page shooting script is marked and underlined in pencil by the late Fisher on every page with dialogue for her character Princess Leia.

Lady Gaga pulls out of Rio festival

Pop star Lady Gaga said on Thursday she had been hospitalised for "severe pain" and was pulling out of Brazil's Rock in Rio festival, which she had been due to headline a day later. She revealed on Tuesday that she suffers from fibromyalgia, a chronic pain syndrome.

Don Fanucci actor dies

Gastone Moschin, an Italian character actor remembered as Don Fanucci, a dapper crime boss gunned down by Vito Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather Part II (1974), died on Sept 4 in Terni, in central Italy. He was 88.

His daughter, Emanuela Moschin, said the cause was kidney failure.
