Dying fan gets wish to see new Force Awakens

A dying Star Wars fan, who was given just a few months to live, was granted his wish to see the new The Force Awakens film on Thursday, ahead of its Dec 18 release.

Daniel Fleetwood, 31, who has a rare form of connective tissue cancer, watched an early cut of the film, after director JJ Abrams called them to tell them that "his wish was granted", his wife said on Facebook.


British rockers unite for documentary

Feuding British rockers Noel Gallagher and his brother Liam will unite onscreen for a documentary on their once hugely successful band Oasis, which split acrimoniously in 2009. The film, due out next year, will trace the history of the band from their beginnings in 1991, including the success of debut album Definitely Maybe and follow-up (What's The Story) Morning Glory?


Cliff Richard quizzed by police over sex crime

British singer Cliff Richard, 75, was interviewed by police over an allegation of a sex crime involving a young boy in the 1980s, his spokesman said on Thursday.

The spokesman said Richard met "voluntarily" with police this week and that the accusations were false.

"He was not arrested or charged nor has he ever been," the spokesman said.
