Drake's new album tops streaming charts

Drake has smashed streaming records with his new album Scorpion, with Apple Music and Spotify both reporting unprecedented listenership for its first day.

Apple Music said on Instagram that the Canadian hip-hop superstar's fifth studio album was streamed 170 million times in the 24 hours since its release last Friday.

Jurassic World film still No. 1

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, a sequel in the popular film series about a dinosaur theme park, continued to stomp ahead as it led the North American domestic box office for a second straight weekend.

The movie collected US$60 million (S$82 million) in American and Canadian theatres, while animated superhero film Incredibles 2 came in second with US$45.5 million.
