Coldplay to play Super Bowl halftime

British rock band Coldplay will be the headline act performing at Super Bowl 50 on Feb 7 in San Jose, California, the National Football League announced. Returning to the stage again will be Bruno Mars, who performed last season. The American media said that talks are being held to bring in Beyonce, who worked with Coldplay on their new album, A Head Full Of Dreams, which was released yesterday, but withheld from the streaming service Spotify.


Canadian singer not coming for Laneway

Canadian singer-songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr has pulled out of next year's edition of the Laneway Festival, citing songwriting and recording commitments, the organisers said yesterday. The festival will be held at The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay on Jan 30.
