Aretha Franklin scraps more shows

Gospel legend Aretha Franklin, 74, has scrapped upcoming shows for health reasons - her latest in a series of cancellations dating to last year.

She said in a statement earlier this week that she was cutting three shows due to "doctors' orders", including a show to celebrate the 90th birthday of crooner Tony Bennett in New York on Sept 15. She said she hoped to return to live performing in November.

Lovato accused of copyright infringement

Demi Lovato has been accused of copyright infringement by American indie rock band Sleigh Bells. They said in a lawsuit filed on Monday in California that Stars, a bonus track on her 2015 album Confident, contains significant material taken from their 2010 song, Infinity Guitars.

They publicly addressed Lovato, 24, about the issue on Twitter in November. But Stars producers had then said Lovato was not involved in the production of the song.
