Former child star gets married

Former Channel 8 actor Joshua Ang, 29, married air stewardess Shannon Low, 27, at a beach wedding in Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa last Saturday. He told 8 Days magazine that his wife is in "the early stages of pregnancy".

S. Korean film-maker, actor accused of assault

An unnamed actress said she was assaulted by South Korean film-maker Kim Ki Duk and actor Jo Jae Hyeon while they were staying at the same motel during a film shoot. This was one of more allegations made against Kim and Jo, who often worked together, in Tuesday's episode of the investigative news show PD's Notepad. Kim, 57, denied the allegations. Jo, 52, said some of them were false.

Oldman's son blasts media

Actor Gary Oldman's 20-year-old son, Gulliver, has called out the media for resurrecting a "false" story about a domestic abuse allegation that his mother, former model Donya Fiorentino, made against his father in a 2001 divorce filing. Cranberries to release final album with O'Riordan Irish rockers The Cranberries said on Wednesday they would go ahead with a new album despite the sudden death of singer Dolores O'Riordan in January. The surviving three members said she had already recorded vocals for the album, which they hope to release early next year.

American Idol back on Monday

The revived version of American Idol, judged by pop star Katy Perry and R&B veteran Lionel Ritchie, will premiere in Singapore on Monday.

The music reality show will air on Sony Channel (Singtel TV Channel 316 and StarHub TV Channel 510) every Monday and Tuesday at 6pm, with encore telecasts at 9.45pm.
