SINGAPORE - Bridal couples took advantage of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Open House over the weekend to recreate scenes a la the hit Korean drama Descendants Of The Sun.

Leading the way were RSAF's own Captain Jonathan Lau and Major (Dr) Magdalene Lee, who struck a cute pose in uniform in front of a fighter jet at Paya Lebar Air Base.

They could well be Singapore's own Captain Yoo Si Jin and surgeon Kang Mo Yeon, the lead characters in the series played by Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo respectively.

The hugely popular drama, which ended its 16-episode run in April, is a love story set in a fictional war-torn country.

In an Instagram post, RSAF even quoted a line from the show - "I regret leaving you that morning without saying goodbye to you. Please stay safe." - as the caption for a photo of Mr Lau tending to a leg "injury" sustained by Ms Lee.

Another couple, identified on RSAF's Facebook page as Ms Lynette Lee and Mr Jasper Seah, looked dapper in their bridal best next to a helicopter.

RSAF said "Love Is In The Air" at its Open House, which drew about 120,000 visitors during the free event's two public days.

More than 20 types of advanced aircraft and weapon systems were on show, while the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Red Lions put on a parachute display.
