SEOUL (The Korea Herald/ Asia News Network) - Daesung of K-pop group Big Bang will start his mandatory military service on March 13, YG Entertainment said on Monday (March 5).

In South Korea, all able-bodied men have to carry out their military duty for about two years.

According to the agency, Daesung applied for military service last year, hoping to enlist at the same time as other members of the group.

With Big Bang member Taeyang set to enlist on March 12, Seungri is the group's only member yet to enlist. T.O.P began his military service in February last year and G-Dragon started serving last month.

Seungri is currently promoting Love Only, the film which marked his Chinese acting debut.
