American hip-hop/soul singer and songwriter Lauryn Hill eschewed crowd-pandering moves in favour of challenging her own artistry in her debut Singapore show.

Singing songs from her seminal 1998 record The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill, she upped the intensity of the tracks with her impassioned singing and jazzed them up with progressive and complex arrangements.
