British actor Benedict Cumberbatch has become a father for a second time, the Daily Mail reported.

Wife Sophie Hunter, a 39-year-old theatre director, gave birth on March 3, the British paper said.

The Doctor Strange and Sherlock actor, 40, has given his second child a name inspired by Shakespeare's historical plays.

Hal Auden Cumberbatch is named after Prince Hal, the name young King Henry V was known by.

Prince Hal was also a character played by Cumberbatch's good friend Tom Hiddleston in a movie they both starred in.

In The Hollow Crown (2012), Cumberbatch played Richard III and Hiddleston took the role of Hal, the Daily Mail said.

Cumberbatch's first son, named Christopher Carlton, was born in June 2015.
