MASTERPIECE IN MOTION
The Singapore Dance Theatre's annual triple bill of distinguished choreographers is a must-see, expanding the horizons of viewers who equate the troupe with classical ballet. This year's showcase features Nils Christe's Fearful Symmetries, Natalie Weir's 4Seasons and Val Caniparoli's Swipe, which artistic director Janek Schergen describes as "a fast-paced, enjoyable, kick-in-the-head ballet".

NADAV KANDER: 49 WORKS
This collection highlights the versatility of award-winning photographer Nadav Kander who moves easily between portraits and studies of landscapes. Look out for photographs of United States President Barack Obama and British actress Judi Dench as well as thought- provoking images of the Yangtze River in China or post-nuclear Chernobyl.

PICTURESQUE MOUNTAINS - TAY TEOW KIAT & SCO
Tay Teow Kiat has groomed generations of musicians and was the first exponent of Chinese music to receive the Cultural Medallion. Leading the Singapore Chinese Orchestra for the first time in 11 years, he conducts a programme which includes Capriccioso Of Dwelling In The Fuchun Mountains, a symphonic suite by noted Chinese composers Liu Yuan, Jiang Ying, Wang Shi and Wang Ci Heng.

RAMAYANA/YATRA IV: MOTHER, GIVE ME COURAGE
This performance by Bhaskar's Arts Academy uses the vocabulary of classical Indian dance and stories from the epic Ramayana to discuss domestic violence and give victims a voice. It is the fourth instalment of choreographer Meenakshy Bhaskar's Yatra series, which has explored poverty, identity and flamenco music in earlier editions.
