CALIFORNIA - Angelina Jolie is under a court order to let Brad Pitt spend more time with their six children, according to a report on CNN.

The former celebrity couple filed for divorce in September 2016, close to two years after they married. They had been together since 2004 and have three sons and three daughters, the oldest of whom is 16 and youngest a pair of nine-year-old twins.

The court order obtained by CNN states that Jolie is required to tell their children that "not having a relationship with their father is harmful to them,"and that they are "safe with their father".

Failure to see through the order could result in Jolie losing primary physical custody to Pitt.

The court order also includes a summer visitation schedule between Los Angeles and London. Pitt was granted full telephone access to the children.

Jolie had accused Pitt of hitting their now 16-year-old son, Maddox, on a flight from France to Los Angeles. It led to an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), but Pitt was later cleared.
