SINGAPORE - American singer Nick Jonas will perform on the second day of Hyperplay, an Asean music and eSports festival that will take place on Aug 4 and 5 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

He made his name as one-third of successful sibling pop trio Jonas Brothers (2005 to 2013), and released his self-titled solo debut album in 2014. He is also known as an actor who has starred in movies such as adventure-comedy Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle (2017) and television series like drama Kingdom (2014 to 2017).

Jonas joins a line-up of pop acts that includes South Korean super star CL, home-grown group The Sam Willows, Indonesian crooner Afgan and Thai rockers Slot Machine.

The concerts are part of the MTV Spotlight component of Hyperplay, a festival which will host the first Asean tournament for popular multiplayer online battle arena title League Of Legends. The teams will compete for the title of Asean champion over the two days.

Hyperplay is presented by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and the National Youth Council. Key segments of both days of events will also be streamed live on hyperplay.mtvasia.com.
