Hong Kong - Have actress Zhang Ziyi and fiance Wang Feng wed or even split up?

Monday June 29 was the three-month deadline for their marriage under Hong Kong marriage laws, and it came and went without news of their union.

The two had filed a notice to marry in Hong Kong on March 29 and it is now void if they did not marry.

They were not sighted at the marriage registry on Monday, which was also rocker Wang's 44th birthday.

Zhang, a Hong Kong resident, also had not been seen in recent days, according to Ming Pao Daily News.

Her beau meanwhile has been performing in China, where he celebrated his birthday on Monday with a cake rolled out on stage.

But they could already have married.

An eagle-eyed netizen said Wang has been sporting a ring on his marriage finger in photos posted on his WeChat account since May 17, NetEase reported.

They could have married anytime after May 9, the last time he was pictured ringless, Sina.com reported. That May 9 picture was taken at a Shenzhen concert and he posted it on May 11.

While there is also speculation of a split, that appeared unlikely as Wang had mentioned Zhang at his concert on Saturday.

When he sang You're My Beloved Girl, the crowd shouted Zhang's name. He replied: "Ziyi told me before the show to thank you if any of you calls her name."

He proposed to Zhang, 36, at her birthday party last February.
