Actor Jun Tae Soo dies

SEOUL • Actor Jun Tae Soo, the younger brother of actress Ha Ji Won, died on Sunday after reportedly battling depression. He was 33.

Their agency Haewadal Entertainment said in a statement: "Jun passed away on Sunday at the age of 33. He was being treated for depression and had recently been in discussions for his next project as an actor, as his condition seemed to improve." The agency said the family plans to hold a private funeral and requested that the media refrain from covering the ceremony. The location of the funeral was not revealed.

Jun was known for his role in the hit drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal in 2010. He also acted in It's Okay Daddy's Girl and The King's Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang.

Following his death, Ha is reported to have withdrawn from her upcoming engagements.
