TAIPEI - Taiwanese actor Chang Chen has become a first-time daddy.

This morning, he posted a picture of a baby's footprints on Weibo, writing, "The new member has checked in."

Jet Tone Films, his management company, confirmed the birth with a Weibo message saying, "Welcome on the arrival of the little princess."

Congratulations also came from Shu Qi, the actress who was once romantically linked to Chang, 38.

Her comment on the photo - "Woh, very big feet" - tickled actress Vicki Zhao, who also added her congratulations.

Chang married Chuang Wen-ju, 38, in November 2013. She is his former assistant at Wong Kar Wai's Jet Tone Films.

Shu Qi attended the wedding.
