SINGAPORE - Many people think of a snack as a cookie, a chocolate bar or a bag of potato chips, but nutritious snacks offered at the right times can help to curb a child's hunger as well as boost his nutrition.

"Snacks are good for kids because they help them stay focused at school and on homework, give them needed nutrients and keep hunger at bay," reported a recent article from the United States-based Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
