At 51, radio deejay Bernard Lim is ready to start a family. Not only will the media veteran and former nightlife head honcho marry Thai public relations and marketing executive Pim Suvarnakuta, 37, at the Registry of Marriages on Saturday, but he is also set to become a first-time father.

The couple will adopt a 16-month-old toddler, Minnie, whose mother, Ms Pim's younger sister, died of brain cancer last year.
