Redeafination, a hip-hop group for the deaf, and Converge Studios, a local dance studio, will collaborate for the first time at the Purple Parade on Oct 27. The Purple Parade is a movement that promotes awareness of the special needs community.

Without her hearing aid, Ms Patricia Merilo, 21, can hear only loud thunderstorms and the pounding of drums.

Yet, the Filipino, who is a permanent resident here, loves to boogie to the infectious music of pop acts like Spice Girls and Hanson.
