Applelynn Teo's artist parents inspired her to work in product design

When Ms Applelynn Teo (above) was a child, she spent hours playing in the fields near the factory where her parents worked.

They were artists and designers who drew and painted movie posters and advertisements on vehicles, and also decorated floats for the Chingay Parade.
