Electric vehicles on the roads today are quiet, nippy and modern. Models like the Kia Niro EV and Jaguar I-Pace spring to mind. In comparison, the e6 from Chinese car-maker BYD looks and feels like it is from another era.

That is because it is, having been in production since 2009.
