Star Trek to expand

American broadcast network CBS will expand the popular Star Trek science-fiction franchise with a new series, mini-series and animation under a five-year deal with producer Alex Kurtzman.

Piko Taro now a father

Japan's Piko Taro, whose song Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen catapulted him to YouTube fame two years ago, has become a father for the first time on Father's Day on Sunday. The comedian, whose real name is Kazuhito Kosaka, but is also known by his stage name Daimaou Kosaka, married his model girlfriend Hitomi Yasueda last year.
