Ms Kua Hwee Cheng has had quite a few careers. She started as an air stewardess in 1987, spending six years with Singapore Airlines.

Then, she spent nearly 20 years in the motor trade, with entrepreneur Peter Kwee's Group Exklusiv, after which she ran a furniture business briefly.
