Here is even more bad news for single ladies on Valentine's Day.

Sherlock star and internet heartthrob Benedict Cumberbatch is set to marry his fiancee Sophie Hunter in a ceremony on the Isle of Wight today, reported US Weekly.

The 38-year-old fan favourite, who has been lauded for his turn as codebreaker Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, and theatre director Hunter, 36, will reportedly officially tie the knot in front of close friends and family.

The Mirror newspaper reported that workmen were seen putting up a marquee and white tents on the grounds where the ceremony will take place.

The couple announced their engagement in November last year with a notice, placed by Cumberbatch's parents, in the births, marriages and deaths section of The Times of London. They are expecting their first child.
