From "ah beng" magicians to idol-like lion dancers, three local books feature familiar settings Singaporean readers can relate to

Magic, murder and megachurches - two new local young adult novels test out different genres of fiction, while a third heads for the small screen.

Misdirection is the first book in a new trilogy and the first solo work of fiction by Ning Cai, formerly the illusionist Magic Babe Ning, who has since foregone that career to write.
