Singaporean conductor Wong Kah Chun will conduct the New York Philharmonic's annual Lunar New Year concert in February next year, the latest in a string of achievements for the 32-year-old, who won the prestigious Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition in Germany in 2016.

His concert schedule has left him so busy that he has yet to find an apartment in Nuremberg, where he will lead the city's symphony orchestra as chief conductor for four years from September.
