Among the challenges they face are developing a sustainable business model and building their own repertoire

Over the past six years, the Chinese music scene in Singapore has experienced something of a mini-boom, with numerous chamber-size music ensembles sprouting up.

At least 10 perform here professionally today, even though the founders say it is not easy going.
