Uncovering history in the studios

History and historic works are examined in The Studios, an annual season for small-scale but big-impact theatre. It runs at the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay from March 28 to April 27. Arts Correspondent Akshita Nanda has the details

The legacies and impact of colonialism are explored in this new play titled Miss British, which began as a biographical monologue by performer Sharon Frese.

The piece initially centred on Frese's travels and personal experience as a black, British woman.
