SINGAPORE - A nondescript Housing Board block in Kreta Ayer Road is host to four of the oldest murals in Chinatown, painted three decades ago in 1988.

Mural artist Yip Yew Chong has, however, lamented that the murals, including the artists' signatures and the year they were created, were painted over last year.
