One of the top ballerinas in Singapore's premier professional dance company has retired.

China dancer Li Jie left the Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) on Sunday night, after taking her final bow at the company's production of Sleeping Beauty at the Esplanade Theatre, where she danced the part of the Lilac Fairy.
