Loose change is adding up to big bucks for art venues here. Three institutions which have installed cash-donation boxes in their premises have reported increases in their donation collections.

In its annual report for the financial year 2018/2019 released recently, the Esplanade's chairman Lee Tzu Yang noted that thousands of individuals have given close to $80,000 through donation boxes as well as online platforms such as Giving.sg and Sistic.
