Siblings play together in the SSO for almost 30 years

Karen and Elaine Yeo are sisters who have played in the Singapore Symphony Orchestra for almost 30 years. Karen plays the double bass, while Elaine plays the oboe.

Trudging home after unwanted piano lessons as children, sisters Karen and Elaine Yeo never dreamed they would end up spending half their lives playing together in the national orchestra.

Karen, 54, joined the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) in 1988 and is the fixed chair double bass.
