Two new galleries at the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) open on Saturday, completing the institution's pivot to a decorative arts museum.
The 191 sq m Fashion And Textiles gallery, with 40 outfits on display, highlights the clothes of the late Qing through to the Republican era in China. The 152 sq m Jewellery gallery showcases some 164 artefacts prized by different cultures in the South-east and wider Asian regions.
