Multi-disciplinary artist Juliana Yasin died on Wednesday at noon after a long battle with cancer. She was 44.

She graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts in 1990, and was an active member of local art collectives Artists' Village and the now-defunct Plastique Kinetic Worms.

Her work has been featured in more than 60 exhibitions in Singapore and other countries such as Australia, Germany and Poland.

She was diagnosed with stage three cervical cancer in 2009, but fought it into remission. However, the cancer returned earlier this year, and spread to other organs.
