LORD OF THE FLIES

William Golding's classic novel about lost boys turning savage is rivetingly staged by Sight Lines Productions in collaboration with Blank Space Theatre. The pack of actors includes Ghafir Akbar, Lim Kay Siu and Mark Richmond. Samantha Scott-Blackhall directs.

MY LOVE IS BLIND

Musical Theatre Limited is a collective of artists that incubates original works of Singaporean musical theatre. My Love Is Blind, directed by Aidli Mosbit, is based on the life of pioneer Tan Guan Heng, who recently received the Public Service Award for a lifetime of service to those with visual disabilities.

LISTEN TO TAIWAN - NATIONAL TAIWAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

The National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (photo) under the baton of Chien Wen-pin makes its debut here, presented by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

Tomorrow's programme features Brahms' First Symphony and also contemporary composer Ma Shui-long's Concerto For Bamboo Flute performed by flautist Chen Chung-shen. Sunday has rising violin star Tseng Yu-chien play Tyzen Hsiao's Violin Concerto In D Major and the orchestra takes on Beethoven's Seventh Symphony.

THE FINGER PLAYERS SEASON 2016: THE COLLECTORS

The Finger Players explores its origins as a puppetry troupe in this site- specific work featuring experts in traditional Chinese puppetry.

The Collectors is co-directed by the group's co-founder Tan Beng Tian and choreographer Lim Chin Huat and includes performances by string puppeteer Zhuang Lie (photo) from Quanzhou Puppet Theatre in China's Fujian province.
