SPH Gift Of Music Presents SSO@Gardens By The Bay

This series of free community concerts, sponsored by Singapore Press Holdings, kicks off its 13th consecutive year with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) at Gardens by the Bay. Led by associate conductor Joshua Tan, the orchestra will perform classical favourites such as Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 (first movement) and Mozart's Symphony No. 40 (first movement) as well as memorable music from the Broadway musical West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein.

Gypsy Reunion

The Ferdinand brothers, known for impeccable harmonies and skilled musicianship in the local music scene from the 1970s to the 1990s, are holding a reunion concert. Redefining The Harp: Sasha Boldachev & Gabriel Lee

In this concert, Swiss-Russian harpist Sasha Boldachev and Singaporean violinist Gabriel Lee set out to challenge the traditional notion of the harp as a feminine instrument. Boldachev will perform a programme of transcriptions from familiar classics by Glinka, Chopin, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Massenet and Piazzolla, as well as his own arrangement of Stravinsky's Petrushka.

Angkor: Exploring Cambodia's Sacred City

The Incredible Frolic By Khairullah Rahim

Rhinoceros In Love

Rhinoceroses have bad eyesight and can focus on only one thing at a time. Some humans are also like that, chasing targets blindly and ignoring whatever happens around them. This National University of Singapore Chinese Drama performance tells the story of Ma Lu, who falls in love with his new neighbour - a beautiful young woman - but cannot get her attention despite all his attempts to do so.

My Home Is Not A Shell

The Singapore International Foundation has brought together two disability theatre groups - Very Special Theatrics (VST), the theatre arm of local charity Very Special Arts Singapore, and Australia's No Strings Attached Theatre of Disability (NSA).
