AUDITIONS

NATIONAL PIANO & VIOLIN COMPETITION

The 10th edition of this talent-discovery platform for young classical musicians aims to develop the performing skills of musicians in Singapore, improve musical standards and identify potential talent by providing opportunities for musicians to perform before international adjudicators. The Singapore Symphony Orchestra has partnered the National Arts Council and winners will get the opportunity to perform with the orchestra.

SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL CALL FOR ENTRY

The Singapore International Film Festival returns for its 26th edition from Nov 26 to Dec 6. Film submissions are open till Aug 21, 6pm. The festival will consider feature films and Asian short films that are at least making a Singapore premiere and have not been broadcast on television or made available on the Internet. It has also opened the call for applications for its Southeast Asian Film Lab for aspiring directors and its Youth Jury & Critics Programme for aspiring film critics.

THE PHILHARMONIC WINDS' 15TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT: MARCO POLO - THE TRILOGY

The Philharmonic Winds presents the world premiere of the Marco Polo Trilogy, which traces the journey of Venetian explorer Marco Polo. The wind orchestra will be led by three conductors: music director Leonard Tan, principal guest conductor Timothy Reynish and the award-winning composer of the trilogy, Luis Serrano Alarcon. RAGA NRITYA RANG - EXPRESSIONS OF KATHAK BY PONNAMMA DEVAIAH (SINGAPORE)

Kathak soloist Ponnamma Devaiah showcases the versatility of the classical Indian dance form and its extensive repertoire. She performs a series of pieces of the Jaipur and Lucknow gharanas.
