US Air Force Staff Sergeant Johnnie Yellock in front of a painting of him by former United States president George W. Bush for the Portraits Of Courage exhibit at the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Dallas, Texas.

On Tuesday, Mr Bush released a book of the same title, which features a series of 66 portraits of wounded or traumatised veterans he had met who served in the US military in Iraq or Afghanistan following the Sept 11, 2001 attacks.
