In a revolving trio of rooms, couples come together and break apart to the strains of Philip Glass' Tirol Concerto for piano and orchestra. Their movements in other rooms are glimpsed through doors and windows, or caught on camera and streamed live overhead as if in a black-and-white silent movie.

The film noir-ish Shoot The Moon is one of a quartet of works that world-renowned Dutch dance company Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is bringing to the Esplanade's da:ns festival this year. The 59-year-old company was last in Singapore in 2011, although its junior wing, Nederlands Dans Theater 2, performed at the 2015 da:ns festival.
