These choirs, made up of members of the public, are overtaking school choirs in competitions, festivals and exchanges overseas

While some people take their children to work, Ms Dawn Yin takes her toddlers to choir practice and competitions in Europe.

The 37-year-old school conductor started singing in local choir ONE Chamber Choir when it was founded in 2009. At the time, it had 18 members. Today, that number has grown to more than 40 - not including the children who tag along.
