SILK ROAD EXTRAVAGANZA

Soprano Huang Ying, tenor Zhang Jianyi and baritone Zhou Zhengzhong perform hits from West End musicals and pieces from Chinese composer Jiang Ying's The Silk Road. They are accompanied by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, led by maestro Yeh Tsung.

ALWAYS MOVING: THE BATIK ART OF SARKASI SAID

The NUS Museum launches a showcase of the vibrant batik art of Singapore artist Sarkasi Said.

Look out for the original 18 panels of View Of Life (2010), displayed as a print on glass at Serangoon MRT station as part of the Circle Line Art in Transit Programme.

Enjoy an evening gallery crawl as arts cluster Gillman Barracks celebrates its fifth birthday. Check out new exhibitions by galleries such as Sundaram Tagore Gallery (abstracts by India-born Antonio Puri) and Element Art Space (inks by Singapore's Chen Wen Hsi).

There will also be food stalls, a lifestyle market and concerts by Singaporean groups such as Disco Hue and Strangerfox.
