Singapore illustrator Tan Zi Xi, who goes by the moniker MessyMsxi, is back with a second solo show, borne out of her exploration of mediums and modes of artistic display that are unfamiliar to her. The flux of ideas that comes from such new and spontaneous encounters has resulted in creations which range from drawings and printed matter to embroidered cloth and animation works.

If you need inspiration for handmade gifts this festive season, stop by an exhibition of sculptures by the students and alumni of the fine arts faculty of Lasalle College of the Arts. The artworks on display, made from materials such as foam, receipts and glass jars, include a decorative light box by student Chan Jia Yu.

Visitors can vote for their favourite work at by Dec 20 and stand a chance to win the work with the highest number of votes.

This new work by Singapore artist Loo Zihan takes the form of a dance presentation. Three lindy hop dance classes are held over three weeks and in collaboration with three dancers - Joanna Dong, Sinclair Ang and Jereh Leong. The first of three classes took place last Friday.

Loo and his collaborators will speak about their dance experience and how lindy hop has affected them. Pick up basic lindy hop steps and get a historical understanding of the dance form as a social activity.
